The UNM CBRR Clinical Core

Overview of Services

The Clinical Core is a component of the UNM Center for Brain Recovery and Repair (CBRR), established by a Center for Biomedical Research Excellence (CoBRE) grant (P20GM109089). Our mission is to support CBRR junior investigators focused on accelerating discoveries that will lead to improved outcomes and reduced burden for those affected by brain injury. The Clinical Core also seeks to foster collaborations and support other UNM and non-UNM investigators engaged in clinical brain and behavioral research.

The core provides consultation services, state-of-the-art neuropsychological, neural stimulation, and neuroimaging equipment. Our facility includes four easily-accessible, patient-friendly, HIPAA-compliant clinical research assessment rooms, as well as well-trained research assistants/psychometrists. We also provide expert training and consultation support in research design, neuropsychological test selection, and integration with neuroimaging (I.E., Mind Research Network), and flexible approaches to data management in order to support clinical investigators.
